A quick update for you:

Haven't sent out my newsletter in a few weeks. On the road this month (hound convention, Medici family reunion, Rennaisance fair, wine tasting, etc) and making space to rethink what I want the newsletter to be. What unique value can I offer? It will return later this summer🍷🐾

I have been quite busy this month and The Monty Report is on hiatus. I am taking advantage of this time away to reflect upon what I want this newsletter to be.

I am searching for the Venn diagram of:

  1. What will add the most value to you, my dear readers?

  2. What will be most interesting and sustainable for me?

At this point, I plan to enjoy my travels fully, embrace some brainstorming and planning, and return to The Monty Report later this summer.

In the meantime, I want to leave you with this note:

It’s totally okay to feel bad, scared, anxious, or whatever. This is a natural and necessary part of life. Life is full of curveballs. Embrace them. Cuddle up to them. Reflect on them. Learn from them. Remember that you are/have enough. Breathe deeply. Let go. You got this.

Seriously though.

This may sound like self-help mumbo jumbo, but if there is ever a time to help yourself, that time is now.

If you can manage it, zoom out. Think 5 and 10 years ahead. This week, this month, this year is a blip on the radar of life.

And then, zoom IN. Take notice of this very moment. The light. The smell. Your breath. Your ability to move. You are alive. You are here. It is a joy.

Don’t allow the conceptual numbers on a screen to rob you of that joy.

Finally, make a plan. Write a list. Make small positive steps in a direction that feels good. Move forward with intention, and leave the past behind. It is gone.

You got this.

Until next time,

Monty 🍷🐾
